Privacy Policy

Last updated: [DATE]

Star Wars Challenge ("we", "the site") respects your privacy. This policy explains what data we collect and why.

Information we collect

  • Account info (when you sign in): your name, email address, and profile photo, provided by Google or Facebook via OAuth. We do not see or store your password.
  • Game data: your answers, scores, timing, and streak history. This is used to show your results, build the daily leaderboard, and improve question quality.
  • Technical data: IP address and basic request metadata, retained briefly for security and abuse prevention.

How we use it

We use your data only to:

  • Operate the daily challenge (results, leaderboard, streak).
  • Save progress across devices when you're signed in.
  • Improve trivia content in aggregate.

We do not sell your data. We do not share it with advertisers.

Where data lives

Data is stored in Supabase (Postgres), operated by Supabase, Inc. The site is hosted on Vercel. Both providers process data on our behalf under their respective security and data-processing terms.

OAuth providers

Signing in with Google or Facebook is governed by their respective privacy policies. We receive only the basic profile fields they expose (name, email, avatar).

Cookies

We set essential cookies to keep you signed in and remember your daily streak. We do not use third-party advertising or tracking cookies.

Your rights

You can delete your account and all associated data at any time by contacting [LEGAL_CONTACT_EMAIL]. We will respond within a reasonable period.

Children

This site is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect data from them.
